In 1987, the Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport executed an agreement with the Louisiana State Department of Transporation and Development (DOTD) to relocate residents that were displaced due to construction of the I-49 North/South Expressway. 56 homes were purchased to accommodate these displaced families.

Private Market Investment (PMI) properties differ from standard public housing in that these units have market rents based on bedroom size. Utilites are the responsibility of the resident.

Residents of the PMI properties are eligible to participate in any program that the Housing Authority offers.

Applications taken at 2500 Line Avenue please call (318) 698-3635 for an appointment.
